FORBES MUSTER SITE RULES 2024
To enjoy this muster in a safe and relaxed environment, the Bushtracker Owners Group (BOG) Inc. Committee seeks your cooperation in complying with the following:-
- The maximum travel speed for vehicles moving about the site is 5 km/h. While this is a safety requirement, it also extends consideration to fellow Boggers by reducing dust and noise levels.
- Wherever possible, walk on the side of designated roadways and on walkways as provided.
- Keep your caravan, vehicle (when parked) and all camping accessories (including generator) within the confines of the site allocated for your stay.
- Generators may be used within the main camp area from 09.00am to 1.00pm daily. If you require a longer daily period, please advise the parking marshals on arrival. This rule will be strictly supervised by the BOG Committee but if the weather is particularly inclement, hours of operation for generators will be extended. Please be considerate of other members and limit your generator use to that which is absolutely necessary.
- Minimise the extent to which all hoses, power leads, etc present a trip or fall hazard by reducing their exposure to passing foot traffic and/or by clearly marking their position.
- No holes are to be dug for any reason without prior permission from the Muster Coordinator or Deputy Muster Coordinator.
- An “EVACUATION ASSEMBLY AREA” is indicated by signage on the Noticeboard (refer to Muster Site Plan). A safety briefing will be held at the commencement of the muster to comply with BOG insurance requirements. All persons who have arrived at the Muster present on site at the time of this briefing are required to attend.
- Individual camp fires must be fully within your site and contained within a firebox and are at the discretion of the Muster Coordinator or Deputy Muster Coordinator. All fires are to meet the conditions contained within the Permit issued by the Council. Fires are to be up off the ground and to be completely extinguished before being left unattended. Fires will not be permitted during a total fire ban.
- Gas BBQs are permitted, subject to the direction of the Local Fire Control Officer.
- Pets are welcome however will not be permitted at any function where there is the distribution and consumption of food and drink. This includes Happy Hour gatherings. The exceptions are animals accredited under a law of a State or Territory that provides for the accreditation of animals trained to assist a person with a disability to alleviate the effect of that disability. Dogs must be on a lead at all times and owners are to pickup and dispose of pet droppings.
- Dispose of garbage in the bins provided. Separately marked bins will be provided if there is recycling in place.
- All members are required to wear their BOG ID badge whilst on site. It is also desirable that they be worn whilst in nearby townships.
- The emptying of toilet cassettes is NOT PERMITTED in toilets. Toilet cassettes are only to be emptied at the dump point as indicated on the site plan.
- If an injury is sustained whilst attending the Muster, please seek medical treatment if required. Minor issues can be treated by the First Aid Officer (location marked on site plan) otherwise seek treatment for major issues by calling an ambulance (000) or attending the local Medical Centre (refer contacts list on the program). As soon as feasible after the injury please notify a BOG Committee Member of the injury and complete an ‘Incident Reporting Form’ which is available from the Committee Office.
